Working in Taiwan

Part-Time Work While Studying in Taiwan

Working while studying can be a great way to ease financial stress, improve your Mandarin through real-world practice, and build connections with local communities. However, it’s essential to manage your time wisely so that your job doesn’t interfere with your academic responsibilities.

Employment Opportunities After Graduation

Taiwan’s open and modern workforce offers international graduates a chance to continue their professional journey after completing their studies. To retain global talent, the Taiwanese government has introduced more flexible post-graduation work policies.

Graduates from Taiwanese universities are now allowed to extend their stay for six months immediately after graduation to search for employment. This extension is intended to support students who have already become familiar with the local culture, environment, and language.

If additional time is needed for job searching or work permit processing, graduates can apply for another six-month extension, providing up to one full year in Taiwan to transition into employment.
