Yes. If you hold a foreign passport, have never held Taiwanese citizenship, and are not classified as an overseas Chinese student, you can apply as an international student.
Yes, if you’re applying to a program taught in English. Many programs in Taiwan are English-taught, especially at the postgraduate level. However, for Chinese-taught courses, proficiency in Mandarin is essential. It’s best to confirm language requirements with your chosen university.
The Taiwan Government Scholarship offers up to NTD 40,000 per semester for tuition and a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000–20,000. This applies to:
- 4 years (Undergrad)
- 2 years (Master’s)
- 4 years (Ph.D.)
